FÍS Film Project
Introducing film into the primary classroom

Session 15

All Diary Entries

We chosen the day that we’re unveiling our Digital Schools Award to premiere our animation! We now have a captive audience of parents, teachers and pupils. It is thoroughly enjoyed by all spectators, especially the younger children, though one pupil observed they laughed at parts that weren’t meant to be funny! It was viewed with pride by all pupils involved, a truly worthwhile project.

From one teacher to another, I’d say don’t wait to get good at it or you’ll never make a film. Just do it! As a final note, I recommend you look at the pupils’ perspectives to see what the children themselves think of film-making in the classroom. They are well able to speak for themselves … but for now here’s the finished product Musical Cartoonz: Autumn and Winter!
